Clean-Up; Event Changes

The final Dogwood Festival committee meeting is Saturday, April 19 at 9 a.m. at the Orleans Town Hall community room. All chairpersons and volunteers are encouraged to attend, all others are welcome also. The festival committee would like to encourage Orleans residents and business owners to participate in the town wide "Clean Sweep" this week. A dumpster has been set up at the town garage to discard items, you may also call 865-2539 to arrange pick up of brush or heavy items. This is a great opportunity to clean up after recent flooding and prepare the town for the upcoming festival. The Little Miss contest time and venue have been changed. The event will now be held at the Orleans Elementary School gym at 6 p.m. Questions about the contest should be directed to Andrea Hall at 812-865-2585. The BBQ cook off planned for this year has been canceled. Look for this event in the future though.
